Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

DropID is designed to help users share business, social, and private contact details with control. This policy is a starter template and should be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

Information we collect

We may collect account details, profile information, public links, smart contact fields, profile images, scan events, access requests, and basic device/browser metadata used for security and analytics.

Private fields

Private or locked fields are not intended to be shown publicly. They should only be visible after the owner approves access. DropID should not expose locked values in public HTML or public API responses.

How information is used

Information is used to create your smart contact pass, render public profiles, process access requests, support contact saving, protect against abuse, and improve the product.

What visitors see

Visitors can see fields the owner chooses to make visible. Locked fields may appear as requestable but should not reveal the underlying value unless approved.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal contact data. We may use service providers for hosting, authentication, email, analytics, security, and payment processing if enabled later.

Account deletion

Users can request account deletion through the app or through the deletion page. See Delete Account.
